Zermatt is a motorcar free place.

If you arrive by car: From Zurich or Basel you take the motorway to Bern, Spiez, Kandersteg (there you charge your car on the train), Visp and then direction Zermatt.

From Geneva or France you take the motorway to Lausanne, Sion, Sierre, Visp, then direction Zermatt.

When you arrive in Täsch, last village before Zermatt, you have to park your car. You will find many public car parks and garages. To reach Zermatt from there, you can take the shuttle train (every twenty minutes) or the taxi service.
